AHL team Hartford Wolf pack recognized three Whalers players for there contribution to Hartford Hockey

with a ceremony and raising a banner with there jersey number for each player

Text of remarks made during HWBC’s presentation of photo albums and plaques to Ronnie Francis, Kevin Dineen and Ulf Samuelsson on January 6, 2006:

Everyone is aware of the many on-ice accomplishments of our three distinguished Whalers.  At this time, the Hartford Whalers Booster Club would like to thank them for the many ways they touched the lives of people in the communities in and around Hartford.  Their untiring efforts did not go unnoticed.

We would like to present each of them with their own personalized photo album

Which highlights their participation in these worthy civic endeavors.  Ranging from the fun sporting events such as golf tournaments and softball games; to the more serious fundraising for the many worthy causes such as Prevent Blindness, D.A.R.E. Program; and, traveling to see the children at the UCONN Medical Center’s Cancer Wing. 

Also, the Booster Club is presenting each with a commemorative plaque which reads:

SUPPORT IN THE HARTFORD AREA
